Just back from my first trip to the southwest, visiting Arizona and New Mexico. We flew into Phoenix and stayed in Scottsdale at the beautifully renovated mid-century modern Valley Ho. Chris and I visted Taliesin West the next day to bookend my trip to Taliesin Wisconsin about 7 years ago. The Taliesins are similarly interesting and uncomfortably cultish to my eyes and ears. It was hot, dry and exposed on that desert to the east of Scottsdale.
