The site of this home had a below grade garage, accessible from an alley, in the back yard. All of the water from the site heads straight for the concrete garage wall, pooled and caused severe mildew and dampness issues inside the garage. Directly addressing the problem of the water is the first step to making this garage usable. Building on the client’s lifestyle, this presented an opportunity to create a resilient and productive landscape based on Permaculture design concepts.
