natural playground

The story began years ago – a school, a playground, a community. Margaret Brent Elementary and Middle School located in the heart of Baltimore, wants to do more than the academic curriculum within the classroom boundaries. Together with Greater Homewood Community Corporation, Village Parents, Neighborhood Design Center, it wants to revitalize the grounds for a nature-play ground where biology meets fun, music meets sculpture, all in a natural, well-planned, environmentally conscious place. An upgraded sports court for the students and the community, a well-shaded terrace and a meandering trike-track are only a few of the exciting changes taking place. We have been involved with NDC in the design and are looking forward to see it come alive.
